HELP ALSHAIKH Family rebuild their lives in gaza

Donation protected

Dear friends and supporters,

My name is Ahmed Riyad Al-Shaikh, I am 33 years old, and I am communicating with you from Germany, where I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of Hamburg. I am married and have a little girl, one year old, and I currently live in Germany. I am writing to you to ask for your support and assistance for my family and their young children in Gaza, which is facing very difficult circumstances amidst the ongoing conflict and genocide, which has left us with no remnants of our small home and our former simple life.

Please help me get my family out of Gaza immediately and as quickly as possible and provide the minimum necessities of life so that we can save what can be saved.

It is time for those that remain to flee.

In times of war, the price of evacuating to safety is extortionate, costing $5000 for adults, and $2500 for those below the age of sixteen to simply cross the Rafah border into Egypt. Ahmed is hoping to evacuate his family, whom he introduces you to below, and to raise a small amount for the cost of rent and food upon arrival into Egypt.

The tent sank due to rain

After our beautiful house, where I lived the most beautiful days of my life, was completely destroyed and everything was gone

We are a family of ten, including four children, struggling to survive in an environment unfit for human life. Our shelter, a nylon tent, stands amidst pollution, with limited access to contaminated food and water. It is our right to live a life of dignity, away from crises, and it is the right of our children to grow, learn, and dream in a stable and peaceful environment.

I appeal to you because after all this time, we have no resources or any place to resort to My family consists of people who suffer from chronic diseases and divine disabilities

They now live in nylon tents, most of the time without food, drink, or heating

Our family

  • My father, Riad Al-Shaikh, 60 years old, suffers from severe heart muscle weakness, diabetes, diabetic foot, high blood pressure, disc herniation, and an ankle injury. The war has hindered his recovery, and he is now unable to walk or move without a wheelchair.
  • My mother, Aisha Al-Shaikh, 50 years old, battles chronic diseases, including diabetes, high blood pressure, disc problems, and vision issues.

My older brother, Maher Al-Shaikh, 33 years old, was a market vendor who could not complete his university education in microbiology due to financial constraints and the need to support our family. His wife, Alaa, and their three children, Riad (10 years old), Karim (7 years old), and the newborn Yafa, born amidst the war, are all in need of care and support.

My other brother, Mohammed Al-Shaikh, 30 years old, his wife, Fidaa, and their young son, Anas, are all hearing-impaired. Mohammed lost his hearing aid during the escape from the bombings, further complicating our situation.

The cost of escaping the ongoing genocide and harsh war is financially overwhelming, and we lack the means to afford it. We are appealing to all kind-hearted and freedom-loving people around the world to help us. Your donation can significantly impact our lives, bringing us closer to safety and peace.

Our children

  • Riyad Maher Al-Sheikh, 10 years old , Riyad is currently suffering from hepatitis, which he contracted during the war due to severe pollution and the lack of appropriate healthy food, which led to a significant weight loss and his features became tired and always exhausted. He was studying in fifth grade of primary school. He excelled in studies and school. He loved football very much. He was a strong fan of Barcelona. He dreamed of becoming a video game programmer when he grew up. Riyad’s dreams were gone, his school was completely destroyed, and the club in which he played was destroyed. Completely, and he faces an unknown future.
  • The other child, Karim Maher Al-Sheikh, is 7 years old. He joined school a few months before the war. He is still in the first grade of primary school and began learning to write and read, but the occurrence of this disaster prevented that, so Karim did not learn anything, even the simple things that he started with. Karim is learning it, but he was unable to follow it and continue studying. He faces an unknown future with the absence of schools and places of education. His situation, like that of his brother Riyad, was completely destroyed. He also loves the sport of football very much and supports the Real Madrid club, but the dreams of these children have gone with the wind.
  • the modern child of her age. Only a few days ago, she was born during the war, in harsh and strange circumstances. Her name is yafa Maher Al-Sheikh. She did not know anything about this cruel world yet.
  • Also, my other brother’s child, his name is Anas Muhammad Al-Sheikh, he is only 3 years old. Anas was born with a disability and he has special needs, and he lost his life. Anas is very hard of hearing. He has just begun to integrate into the real world and learn and try to pronounce some letters by enrolling in an institution for people with hearing disabilities. We were hoping that we would be able to understand Anas from a young age so that he could speak even a few letters and be able to learn and integrate, but like all children, their lives were destroyed. They faced difficulties and days that no one could bear, and the entire institution that cared for the hearing-impaired was completely destroyed.
  • Our children have the right to a decent, stable life. They have the right to education, hygiene, treatment, play, and dreams. They are like all the children of the world. They have the ability to become scholars and positive influencers. But in this situation, they will not be able to find the simplest and least necessities of life, Please help us to provide Riyad, Karim, Anas, and yafa with the simplest necessities of life and childhood

CALL TO ACTION:

1. Please donate whatever you can. Every contribution, no matter the amount will help.

2. Please share this campaign with everyone you know, and urge them to donate and share.

The money that will be collected from this campaign

  • we will spend it, as I mentioned previously, by paying the amount for coordinating entry through the Rafah land crossing, which connects Gaza to the State of Egypt, since, as I mentioned, they charge an adult an amount of $5,000. However, depending on the pressure, crisis, and waiting, it may reach $7,000 per person. .
  • We will also use it for the rest of the travel expenses and safe transportation to provide for all family members and to rent a place for the bride in a large area that has at least the minimum necessities of life.
  • We will also buy medical equipment and hearing aids for my brother Muhammad, his wife Fidaa, and his son Anas so that they can lead their normal lives.
  • We will pay the costs of treating my father and saving his foot before the doctors are forced to amputate and cut it off, as they told us, if it continues like this.
  • Any other money that will exceed this use, we will donate it to families close to us, our friends, and our relatives to help them with it.

We thank you deeply for your time and consideration. Your support means the world to us.

Sincerely,

Ahmad Al-Sheikh
