I can’t lose my mom to kidney disease!

Donation protected
Hi my name is Rane, my mom calls me Fash. Honestly, Ive never been one for public vulnerability but this is something I’ve kept secret far too long. Today, I am asking for your help because my mom is extremely sick. Her health has made a turn for the worse and I’ve exhausted all of my options. My mother is my literal heart in human form. I can’t even imagine life without her so here’s our story:

My mom was on dialysis for 13 years. She received a kidney transplant a year and a half ago. The kidney never worked properly. She’s been fighting to keep this kidney from Day 1. Since receiving her new kidney on
January 18, 2022 my mom has had a staph infection, Covid, fluid around her heart, 2 blood transfusions, 2 kidney infections, gallstones and pneumonia. We’ve been to multiple doctors trying to get help with her kidney but they all end up hurting her physically and emotionally. It’s intolerable seeing her go through so much.

As you can see in the picture, my mom used to be a very happy person. She was on dialysis in that picture and was still a very lively, loving person to the point where none of my friends ever knew she was sick until I mentioned it. To think, working and dialysis is almost like a death sentence but she made it happen. I’ve always aspired to be as optimistic and joyous as her. However, what she’s been going through since getting a kidney transplant in 2002 is like hell on earth. My mom hasn’t been able to work since getting her kidney transplant in 2022 because she’s been so sick. She used to walk around smiling for nothing and now she’s always sad and stressed and crying because different doctors that she trusted treated her like she was less than human. Like she doesn’t feel pain. Always cutting and poking and ignoring obvious warning signs of serious health issues.

Recently, after doing some research We found out that there’s a stem cell treatment that can restore some of her kidney function so she can live a relatively normal life again. It’s roughly between $30k - $60k for the first one or two treatments which will help heal her kidney transplant. After the first treatment is successful my mom will be able to work again and raise the money for subsequent treatments herself.

Your help is greatly appreciated. Even if you can’t donate, please repost this so it can reach as many people as possible. I can’t lose my mom. If she has to go back on dialysis with all of these new health problems, I don’t think her body will be able to take it anymore. Please, help me give my mother a long healthy life. I would love for her to meet her future grandchildren and know all of her pain and suffering wasn’t for nothing.

That’s her taking a picture of me in the hospital with her. She won’t let me take pictures of her anymore because she doesn’t like the way she looks now.
