I CARE ABOUT YOU ~ Golden Goddess & Friends
We are excited to announce our second annual Suicide Prevention fundraiser EDM event in hopes of making it a little easier to STAY ALIVE. You are loved and cared for and no matter how dark or hard things may seem, things can get better for you. We, as a community, believe in you.
Our event will take place in Portland, Oregon on Friday, March 8th at Opaline. We are asking for a minimum donation of $10 to enter the event. If you donate here, please keep your name on the donation rather than anonymous so we can guest list you for the show! The venue has a capacity of 200 people, so only the first 200 people to arrive will be granted entry. We will also be accepting donations at the door via cash, Cashapp, Venmo, and PayPal and 100% will be routed to AFSP.
Golden Goddess released a Suicide Prevention album titled "20 Reasons to Live" in December 2022. This collective album was made by over 40 artists who care about you and who believe that suicide prevention is possible. We love you, we see you, we hear you, we believe you, we want you to live, we want you to find healing, and I know you can. The universe has your back and so do we.
The album is available on all platforms - Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple Music, and more. All royalties from streaming these suicide prevention tracks will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
This year's headliner will be Madlon. Madlon is a trance, progressive, and melodic bass DJ/producer who has quickly risen to prominence in the PNW dance music scene. She started making traction releasing music on labels including Feral One Records and Munchies After Dark Records. Her latest single, “Unbound” came out on Feral One Records’ Seattle Vol. 2 compilation, contributing to the album’s success in nabbing top 10 spots on Beatport. 2023 saw her public radio debut on the first episode of c89.5’s series Guest Mix Seattle. She also played her first festivals last year, including Dancefestopia and Insomniac’s Boo! Seattle.
Madlon’s professionalism and ability to adapt on the spot while captivating the crowd’s attention through weaving melodies and changing tempos quickly earned her a residency at Club Ora and frequent bookings in the Seattle club scene.
Madlon has directly supported artists including Fatum, Pretty Pink, Amidy, and Paul Thomas. She has also opened for trance, progressive, and melodic bass DJ/producers: Cosmic Gate, ilan Bluestone, Somna, Memory Loss, JES, Kristina Sky, Spencer Brown, Cristoph, Au5, Chime, and Gem & Tauri, to name a few.
She is honored to make her headlining debut at Opaline, where she’s excited to demonstrate her unique, flowing meld of trance and melodic bass music.
In January 2023 we raised $893 for AFSP and this year we are hoping to raise $2000!
Any donation will help make an impact. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me and so many of us. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide.
TOGETHER WE CAN UPLIFT EACH OTHER AND FIND PEACE & HEALING.
