Suicide Prevention Through A Documentary - Film

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

I'm Ewood, a British-French singer and actor based in London. I'm raising funds to create a documentary/film about Mental Health in the UK.
My first single, "I Don't Know," which you can listen to via the link below, will be the soundtrack to the film.
The song is about facing your demons, grieving, forgiveness, taking responsibility for your actions, and fighting for a better life. I hope it can help those going through tough times, as I know firsthand the pain of losing a loved one to suicide and struggling with depression and dysphonia. Join me in shedding light on mental health and promoting healing through this documentary.

Mental health is incredibly important to me, and I want to help raise awareness through a new 90-minutes documentary called "I Don't Know How I Feel." The film will address the challenges of mental health, particularly for young people and those facing difficult times.
It's crucial to prioritize your own mental health before caring for others, and this documentary will highlight that message. Suicide, depression, mental breakdowns, burnout, toxic environments, and anxiety are all too common in our society, affecting people of all backgrounds.
Regardless of your wealth, gender, or race, mental health matters to everyone.

"I Don't Know How I Feel" will feature a diverse range of speakers sharing their stories and experiences with mental health.

Among the guests; there will be :

Steve Phillip
He lost his son Jordan; he committed suicide in December 2019. Steve created a foundation and raise Awareness on Suicide Prevention.

Kasia Halani
She lost her son Jakub on February 2, 2023; he committed suicide. Kasia advocates for Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention with her charity.

Agathe Lemaitre
She lost her sister. She wrote a book; The Book of Liane.
The book is available on all platforms.
“The diaries found in her sister's apartment after her suicide allowed Agathe Lemaitre to put her grief into words. The Book of Liane is a moving story to free speech." Agathe is an activist against School Bullying.

As the narrator, I'll guide viewers through the film's powerful message. To make this project a reality and bring it to a wide audience, I need to work with a team of professionals, including camera operators, a director of photography, lighting and sound experts, editors, and producers.

To cover the costs of these essential team members, as well as filming, the editing process, promotion, travel, and accommodations for guests outside of London, I'm seeking to raise £20,000.

Your donation will make a significant impact on this project and help us bring attention to the critical issue of mental health. Join me in making a difference and promoting healing for all.
While I'm mostly self-funding, I can't do this alone and I need your help please.
A high-quality TV documentary with a running time of 90 minutes can range from tens of thousands to several hundred thousand pounds or even more. Here are some potential cost considerations:

1. Pre-production: This includes research, scripting, storyboarding, and planning. Costs for pre-production can vary depending on the complexity of the subject matter and the amount of research required.

2. Production: This involves shooting the documentary footage, which includes expenses for crew, equipment, travel, permits, location fees, and any necessary props. The number of shooting days and the size of the crew will impact the overall cost.

3. Post-production: This phase includes editing, sound design, color correction, graphics, and sometimes animation. The complexity of the post-production process can significantly affect the cost.

4. Narration and voice-over: If you plan to have a narrator or voice-over artist, there will be additional costs for hiring a professional voice actor and recording studio.

5. Music and licensing: Acquiring the rights to use music, archival footage, or other copyrighted materials in the documentary may involve licensing fees.

6. Marketing and distribution: Once the documentary is complete, there may be costs associated with promoting and distributing it to television networks, streaming platforms, or film festivals.

I'm reaching out to the community for support in making this documentary a reality.
Your contribution means the world to me. It's essential that the film is of professional quality and fit for broadcast. I'm eager to start filming as soon as possible.

Please take a moment to watch my interview on the Chrissy B Show below, where I discuss the documentary. My goal is to raise awareness and have the film broadcast on television in the UK and France , as well as used to benefit teenagers in schools across the UK and France.

I'm grateful for any amount you can contribute, large or small, to help make this project happen. As a thank you, I'll invite all donors to a private screening of the finished documentary, where you'll have the exclusive privilege of seeing it first. Plus, your name will be included in the credits section at the end of the film.
