I need a new-to-me car!

Hey y’all…

I want to start off by saying I am PHYSICALLY FINE. But last week, I was in a car accident after I left a volunteer shift at my local pet shelter. The roads were icy, and long story short… I accidentally hit the car in front of me. My insurance covered the cost of the other person’s damages (I’m told there were none to their car), but none of mine. This was the first time in my near decade of driving across the country that I’ve ever been in an accident. I’m so lucky it was just this.

That being said… my car has $5000 in damages. And I cant afford that. I’d love to at least put a nice down payment on a used car, and as you may know, the used car market right now in the USA is absolute garbage. If I can outright buy a used car, that would be even better. The cheapest used cars I can find that seem reliable to drive are about $8000, not including tax.

I fully acknowledge that nobody owes me any support or help, especially when the accident was deemed my fault. But if you can and want to help, I’ll be forever grateful. I will upload pictures of the estimated cost to repair the car as soon as I can.
