I need help with water leak repairs

Hi, my name is Caryn and I’m having trouble securing money to repair a water leak. I am currently the sole guardian and earner for me and my brother. He is nonverbal and bedbound due to a stroke two years ago. I have not been able to get him any kind of Social Security benefits, because I did not have guardianship of him until December. If anybody knows how Social Security works it takes a long time to verify. Any little bit will help at this point. We both appreciate it and God bless.
