Tracie's Journey to Healing

I find myself compelled to reach out to you with a heavy heart as my sibling, Tracie, faces an unforeseen and challenging chapter in life. In just a few short weeks, her and her family's world turned upside down, and I am here to share their story with you.

Picture an ordinary Friday in the life of a regional property manager with over a decade of experience. Tracie, sat in her car on one of the properties she oversaw engrossed in a phone call with her son. A recent evictee approached unexpectedly, and suddenly Tracie became a victim of a senseless act of violence. She was shot, and the course of her life took an unexpected turn.

Currently in the hospital for almost two weeks, Tracie is showing signs of movement in her upper body and right arm, but the road to recovery is long and uncertain. The bright light in this darkness is the opportunity to undergo spinal cord rehabilitation at Craig in Colorado. A challenging yet promising program that could significantly impact Tracie's mobility and recovery. This program, though far from Southern California, holds the promise of remarkable results.

I'm reaching out to you on behalf of Tracie and our family. Unfortunately, we were unprepared for the financial strain that comes with such an unexpected crisis. Her husband and son have been tirelessly traveling to the hospital daily and incurring costs for gas, meals, and parking. They are an essential part of Tracie's support system, and will be taking turns traveling to Colorado. They are her pillars of strength, and as part of her rehabilitation, their presence is vital. They were encouraged to participate in the program with her to learn how to assist her when she returns home.
