I Roll With Zak

Hello, my name is Jaime Foster, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story.

I am a single mother raising a son (Zakai "Zak" Clay) who has special needs. Due to Zak's intense needs and extenuating mobility challenges, I have had to give up my dream teaching career which has affected my income and, ultimately, prevented my ability to continue to save money for a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

This year, Zak is a senior in high school and is unable to participate in his extracurricular activities, including football and work. The Colleyville Heritage High School Panther football team needs him, even though he does not physically play football. Zak’s amazing coaches have been innovative in developing a team role to include him as a member of the football team and you can't Zak otherwise. Unfortunately, he has been unable to attend football games and work his part-time job due to transportation challenges.

At this time, I can't afford a wheelchair accessible van due to my income. However, I am determined to find a way to grant Zak's wish for a wheelchair accessible van so that he may have the adequate mobility support to participate in his activities and live a productive life.
