I want to help my mum be with my dad

Donation protected
My dad was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer in 2017. They removed part of his bowel and part of his bladder and he then underwent chemotherapy.
During the process of going through cancer and chemotherapy he raised for charity just under £10,000 for the Royal Victoria Hospital Children’s Unit.
Unfortunately now, he has been informed his cancer has returned into his bowel and bladder. He needs specialist surgery to have his bowel removed and to try and save his bladder. Unfortunately this surgery cannot be carried out in Northern Ireland and he has therefore been informed that he will have to travel to Leeds for this.
Surgeons have told him that he will be in hospital for a minimum of 3 weeks.

Due to the logistics of living in Northern Ireland and the operation in England, it would help my dads recovery if my mum could be there with him throughout.
We are trying to raise funds for accommodation and loss of earnings.

Since my dad has been diagnosed again, he has started fundraising for Cancer Fund for Children NI and Cash for Kids NI with the aim of raising £50,000 to help both charities. Any additional funds raised here will go towards his charities.

To me it is remarkable that he is still thinking of others while going through so much pain and trauma. He has always been there for me, my brother and his grandchildren and this is our way of being there for him when he needs it most.
