I am Ibrahim Al-Habil from Gaza. Currently, I am collecting donations for my family due to the ongoing and intense war in Gaza. We, the residents of Gaza, have been displaced several times after our home was bombed on October 17, 2023
We lost everything and fled south in search of safety, first to Al-Nuseirat, then to Khan Younis, and later to Rafah. We faced death multiple times in Rafah before finally reaching Deir al-Balah, which is constantly under attack and at risk of invasion by occupying forces. We have moved several times within Deir al-Balah seeking safety, but there is no safe place.
We currently live in a tent near the beach, lacking food, medicine, and clean drinking water. We struggle to secure even one meal due to the severe blockade and lack of aid. The heat inside the tents is unbearable, and diseases spread quickly among the people. The destruction of infrastructure and the overcrowding of displaced individuals leave us vulnerable to illness and shelling at any moment.
My family consists of seven members, each with dreams and goals shattered by war. My father, aged 50, was a marine rescuer on the coast. My mother, aged 45, was a schoolteacher. As for me, I am 25 years old and was studying financial accounting while working as an accountant in a shopping mall. I was also a swimming champion and a professional surfer.
However, I was injured at the beginning of the war and am now unemployed. My brothers, Mohammad (5 years old) and Mustafa (4 years old)
, and my sisters, Rimas (14 years old), who dreamed of becoming a dentist when she grew up,
and Lana (9 years old), who was an excellent student and aspired to become a teacher like her mother, have all been deprived of education, safety
