2015 Ohio All Star Wrestling Team

Hello, my name is Cael Woods. I am 13years old and I wrestle for West Holmes Middle School. I have been accepted on the 2015 Ohio All Star Wrestling Team. My grades and my wrestling accomplishments were the reasons behind me getting accepted. I am a 4x OAC State Placer, 4x OYWA State Placer, 1x State Champ in both the OAC and OYWA, TOC (Tournament of Champions) 2nd and 4th Place winner, NuWay Nationals Champion, and a placer of many other tournaments. The summer of 2015 I will be traveling for approximately 45 days with a team made up of around 25 kids. This experience will allow me to wrestle around the country and learn character building skills. We will also have the opportunity to see many sights. We will wrestle teams from Washington, Utah, Nevada, Oregon, California, Colorado, and many more.
There are many reasons why I want to go on this trip. My dad, Greg Woods, participated on this trip when he was my age and told me what a great experience it was. Other reasons I would like to go is because I want to become a better wrestler as well as a better person and I feel I will get that from my peers as well as my coaches I will be working with. On days we don't wrestle we will still have a workout in some type of fashion, from working out in a gym, hiking, jogging, ect. We will never have a day that we won't be learning or working. I hope to gain knowledge of the sport as well as the mental ability to make it against any obstacles I will face throughout life.
In order for this trip to become a reality for me, each of us on the team must raise the minimum of $5,000. The money I raise goes towards MY lodging, food, travel, and other expenses on the trip. I am reaching out to our family, friends, local businesses, and other community members to help sponsor me for this once and a lifetime trip.
