For those of you who've had the opportunity to meet Jerry the "flower guy" you know what a special and kind hearted man he is. Most of you have seen him walking around the Westside of Grand Rapids selling flowers. He LOVES his job. Jerry has walked hundreds of miles around the neighborhood, with his bucket of flowers making sales and what a great salesman he is.
It was his passion, his purpose and his happiness. His favorite catch phrase, "Get a Job" he loved to say that every time you would see him, he'd tell you over and over again! He's spent his life getting up and going to work. Thank you for giving him your loyal business, your friendship and your time. Jerry was hospitalized last Sunday and is sick with a liver condition that is terminal. Sadly, he does not have much time left on this earth. We are grateful to him and for all of the many life's he has touched with his fun nature, gentle spirit and love of life. He has taught us all how to have compassion and to appreciate the small and beautiful things. We are hoping to help the Myers family by raising funds to help with his medical bills and funeral expenses. You may contact Jill Myers by private message on Facebook, if you would like so send Jerry a card or well wishes.
