Help Albemarle Landscapes Overcome the Adversity Caused by Arson and Vandalism

                Before and After.....

Albemarle Landscapes and Tree Service, an Outer Banks business owned and operated by Chase Patterson, was victimized by arsonists and vandals on November 21st.  Their new bucket truck, dump truck and a customized tool truck were burned and the remainder of the trucks in the storage yard were vandalized with smashed windows and punctured tires. The total damage is estimated at $250,000.

Chase Patterson, 26, started Albemarle Landscapes in 2006 and has grown the business from a one man lawn mowing operation to a full scale landscape and tree service that employs 6-11 people depending on the season.  Key to his success is his love for his work, his commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, and his continuous profit reinvestment in his business. Anyone who knows Chase and his team has only good things to say about their fair business practices, work ethics, professionalism, and desire and ability to do a good job.

This despicable and hateful act of arson and vandalism has threatened the livelihood of the members of the Albemarle Landscapes team, but it is not keeping them down. Chase has vowed to overcome this setback and come back stronger than ever. They have repaired the vehicles that can be repaired and they are out working the jobs that they can with the equipment they have left.

Sadly, the tools of their trade, ropes, chain saws, spikes, shovels, rakes, trimmers, etc. were all lost in the fire and were not covered by insurance.  They have already had to make over  $20,000 in replacement purchases that are not covered by insurance. And, the company has a number of jobs on hold due to their loss of equipment.

We, as customers, friends, and neighbors, have an opportunity to help a hard working team of young entrepreneurs. Let’s help write a happy ending to this story of good overcoming evil.

Any contribution will help this team get back to work. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to help them replace the uninsured equipment and get through the next few weeks while they are rebuilding their truck and tools inventory. Please give whatever you want, the team will be grateful for any amount. All contributions go directly to Chase Patterson and Albemarle Landscapes.

Thanks, and if you have any information that might help the police find out who did this please contact the Nags Head Police at [phone redacted].
