Ianne's Rent Coverage Campaign

Hey there!

My name is Ianne Fields Stewart (they/she), and I'm a multi-hyphenate creative working at the intersection of art, activism, and pleasure. My work spans across many fields including theatre, film, dance, creative writing, arts administration, and social justice. I am dedicated to creating art, facilitating spaces, and influencing organizational practices that allow Black queer and trans people to radically luxuriate in our own joy. To put it simply, I want to make my people feel good.

In the wake of the successful WGA strike, the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, the global pandemic, an increasingly difficult job market and the general chaos that is our lives as we careen headfirst into social collapse and environmental disaster, ya girl is behind on rent. So I am coming to you internet to ask for help raising money to cover my rent.

It's very difficult for me to ask for help because I've been working so hard as of late to take care of everything on my own. I've been cast in three dance companies. I've co-written a musical that will be produced in the Spring of 2024 with a Tony-winning composer and director team. Earlier this year, I performed in a sold out show at Lincoln Center. I also have a writing commission with Playwrights Horizons. Unfortunately, despite all these amazing opportunities, I'm still really behind on my rent. It's time for me to put my pride aide and lean on the greatest resource in my life: amazing friends and loves ones like you!

With this funding, I can cover my rent as well as additional business expenses like getting my website back up and running, updated headshots, etc! I'm hoping that with this support I can get my feet back underneath me and continue to be of service both in my performing life and outside of it again!

It's never easy to ask for help, but I do not have small ambitions for my life. I want to make the world a better place, and I can't do that unless I have secure housing.
