Cyclocross World Championship

Hi everyone!
My name is Carolina (AKA: Caro) and I am a Vanderkitten Cyclocross rider!
I am originally from Argentina and picked up cycling when I moved to the US at14 years old. I was part of the NorCal Mountain Biking League during high school and afterwards stopped racing to focus in College, and to be honest because I was burned out. But in 2012 while watching my little sister Sofia race an XC World Cup in Windham the racing bug bit me again, I knew I belonged out there with everyone else ON a bike! This time around I decided to race Cyclocross because the community had drawn me in, and the sport itself is very interactive. I started locally in the B category two years ago (2012) with Buycell.com/Ibis and surprisingly enough I was winning the races. My second year when I joined Team Rambuski Law. I raced locally in the A category (elite women) and to my surprise winning almost all the races. That year my team had bigger plans for me and they asked if I would be up to do UCI level racing (international level). I remember standing probably last row at Cross Vegas with a big fat smile on my face. There were cameras to film us and more than 2,000 spectators! WOW! I got hooked, period. The energy that I felt that night triggered something inside me that told me I belonged in there. My results that year kept improving and I had cracked top 10 with a 9th place in the first day of racing in Cincinnati. After achieving what I thought was not possible that year, I knew I wanted more. I knew I wanted to become a Professional Cyclocross racer.
This year; my third year racing cross and only my second year at UCI level events I have traveled from September 9th to November 24th; completed 23 UCI level races with my best result in 6th place at CXLA and have experienced not only personal growth but met amazing people along the way and been able to touch lives in ways I never thought I could. It has been extremely rewarding and empowering, and it has been possible through the Vanderkitten Cyclocross Fundraiser.
Vanderkitten CX is a crowd funded program, meaning we are only able to pursue racing through the purchase of VKCX (vanderkitten-cyclocross) merchandize and our amazing sponsors. So thank you everyone that has contributed to empowering women in cycling!
This year as some of you may know I will be representing Argentina at the Wold Championship in the Czech Republic. My personal goal for this racing season is to be able to race on European soil at the biggest race of the year. This opportunity doesn't come around too often. That is why Vanderkitten has been collaborating with me to make this possible, but we do realize most of the expenses are not within budget for the cross team. I made a personal fundraiser in hopes to raise money so that I can by the end of January be on my way to Tabor to race at the World Championship.
My coach and I have been mapping out trainning and racing leading to the World Championship so that I can be best prepared when the day comes. We have added running to the shcedule. Sigh. Ha Ha ;)
Thank you for taking the time to read this! And thank you for donating!
