Founded by African students studying at Harvard University in the United States, YALDA has been a been a steadfast champion for Africa's youth. Our mission encompasses training, policy advocacy, networking, and economic growth opportunities. Notably, YALDA boasts the largest social media following of any African youth-focused organization, with over 250,000 Facebook followers and more than 20,000 Twitter (now known as X) followers. Our reach spans 47 countries, where we've successfully trained 15,995 young individuals, aided by 619 dedicated industry-leading mentors. Since our inception in 2004, we've also helped raise over $780,000 to support African youth startups, creating over 6,100 jobs in the process.

Even amidst the formidable global challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic over the past three years, our partnerships with key multilateral institutions have remained robust. Now, more than ever, we humbly request your support for our 8th international i-Boot Camp—an intensive training programme designed not only to equip young Africans with the skills to expand their businesses across borders but also to provide them with the necessary tools to secure financing.

Themed "Breaking Information Barriers in Intra-Africa Trade: Accelerating Youth Inclusiveness in Implementing the AfCFTA", our i-Boot Camp is dedicated to fostering youth inclusiveness in the realization of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). This transformative program will connect 350 African youth entrepreneurs with investors who are committed to infusing capital into promising ventures, thereby aiding their expansion. To make this vision a reality, we've set a fundraising target of $250,000.
