Violet Sky's Funeral Expenses

I am Ryan’s aunt. My nephew Ryan Michaud, and his girlfriend Krysten Breault, lost their beautiful 7 week old daughter, Violet Sky, on 12/4/14.  Violet was born with Gastroschisis as well as other intestinal issues.  During surgery on 12/3/14, her intestines started to bleed and they could not stabilize her for many hours.  She was given blood transfusions and this sweet baby fought her hardest.  We finally received good news that night that her overall numbers had improved, she was critically stable.  We felt she would pull through. But things took a drastic turn the following morning and we lost our precious Violet. Violet's heart and lungs were working against each other. Her lungs couldn't expand enough because of all the fluids and inflammation of her intestines pushing against her lungs. As for her heart, the lungs were pushing against that, making it harder to beat and circulate her blood. The surgeons, doctors and nurses were trying to find a balance so both organs could function and sustain Violet through this stressful and critical moment in time. Unfortunately, it just couldn't be done. Violet had tried her very best, as did the surgeons and nurses at her very side. Ryan and Krysten are in their early 20’s and they are just devastated, as is the rest of our family.  I would like to raise funds to pay for the funeral expenses and perhaps to help Ryan and Krysten out, as they have missed a lot of work (and who wouldn’t in this situation). Violet was loved by so many people and her passing has hit our family hard.  I appreciate you reading our story.  Thank you.
