We are International competitors! August 2018, we had the honor to compete at the second event of the Junior Grand Prix in Linz, Austria as a part of Team U.S.A! We are so grateful to have had such a wonderful opportunity to make ourselves known amongst the international competition circuit.
We forever hold the title, “2017 U.S. National and  Sectional Novice Ice Dance Champions" from U.S. Figure Skating. This was a rare accomplishment for us as a brand new ice dance team. We had only been training together for about 8 months. Normally, elite ice dance teams have a couple of years of dancing together before achieving such a highly regarded title.

Our primary coach is Bianka Szijgyártó . She is a former World Championship Competitor, 2 time Hungarian National Champion and International Coach.

By way of background: Joci is 16 years old. She lives in Marietta, NY. She is home-schooled. She fell in love with the ice at age 3, but had to wait a few months until her eager feet could fit into the smallest rental skates! Jocelyn began taking skating lessons at age 4. She earned International Ice Dance Gold by age 13.
Jimmy is 20. He lives in Eden, NY. He plays many instruments including the drums and French horn. Prior to becoming a national level ice dancer, Jimmy was an accomplished hockey player and has earned his Gold Medal in Ice Dance.
Both of their families have had to over come adversities to bring them together as an ice dancing team, as many do.  Jimmy’s single mother works three jobs to cover expenses. Unexpected circumstances caused a great financial and emotional burden for his family. Joci's family has weathered the crisis of  job loss, and most recently rising medical expenses but have continued to make every effort to keep her skating because they have witnessed Joci overcoming her own personal challenges, including losing two grandparents within 6 weeks, her biggest fans. Even so, she trained hard through it and reached the goals she set for herself. Joci stays in Buffalo to train Monday through Friday.

That is why we are asking for your support.  As you can imagine, training for and attending Nationals is very expensive, much more than most families can afford. We  have to pay for training, ice time,  travel expenses and costumes. This all around training package is required to be successful on the level we are competing at.
Our new goal is to raise 10,000 to cover the expenses of all national and international competitions. Can you help? We are so grateful for every dollar of support. No gift is too small. We will acknowledge each donor on our fan page on Facebook. We will also be posting pictures and stories there so you can get to know us better.
