ICL facilities and maintenance operations
Tax deductible
The Islamic Center of Lawrence (ICL) urgently requires $60,000 for facilities and maintenance operations.
ICL was established in 1978, and this building has been our home since 1998. Throughout this period, we have been self-sufficient for our budgetary needs, in large part, with in-house donations and also by selling parking spaces.
However, due to the COVID pandemic, our revenue has been close to zero for over a year now. We have been able to make ends meet thus far, but the situation is getting bleak day-by-day. Without community assistance, we won’t be able to pay our monthly bills and keep this place open much longer.
With Ramadan fast approaching, the need is even greater. For over 20 years, we have offered free daily Iftar to more than 100 people on average, almost all students and their families.
We are counting on you to help in any way you can to keep our doors open and provide all essential services to the community.
