How blessed do you think a place is when that every step that you take towards it, you are raised in rank and a sin is wiped away. I am referring to the distinct status of the Masjid. Never have we experienced the closure of Allah’s house as we have seen this year. The house of Allah is a beam of light for our community. We have always shared the responsibility to make sure that the Masjid is maintained.
In these difficult times, by the grace of Allah, Islamic Center of Omaha (ICO) has tried to do whatever possible to keep the masjid’s doors open while complying with public safety orders. With Friday congregations cancelled and limited attendance, the Masjid needs the support of the community. Please help continue to support the Masjid as you have done in the past.
ICO is the oldest masjid in Omaha. It has served as the base for Muslims in Omaha on various platforms including, but not limited to the following: 1. Sharing the message of Islam with non-Muslims 2. Organizing religious holidays (Eid, Ramadan) 3. Offering weekend classes for Muslim youth. 4. Weekly talks on various topics for Muslim families. 5. Being a spokesperson for local Muslims. 6. Being a gateway for communication to Muslims in Omaha.
