ICOACH's Fundraiser for Transportation needs.
Tax deductible
Transportation is so easy to take for granted in so many parts of the world, but not in the refugee and immigrant population. Many refugees who now call Iowa their new home are facing transportation and language barriers due to Coronavirus pandemic. ICOACH is 100% volunteers supported. With Coronavirus going on, ICOACH clients are facing transportation and language barriers to get essential items needed to keep everyone at home to prevent the spread of the virus.
As an organization, we are honoring our volunteers by not putting them at risk and have them stay home and not drive to go deliver meals and household items to families in need. With volunteers not driving, transportation requests are at the highest demand of all times. Recently DART responded to our need and awarded ICOACH a 12 passengers van to help combat transportation and language barrier facing refugees and immigrants in the Des Moines area. Our refugee and immigrant community are especially vulnerable during this Coronavirus emergency. Many families rely on ICOACH’s transportation and language services on daily basis to go to work, from work, grocery shopping, doctor’s appointment and many more.
ICOACH spends $158/week on average in transportation and language barriers and we need your help. Please help ICOACH combat this virus by providing transportation to vulnerable communities. 100% of your donation will go directly to gas purchase to fill up our vans and emergency interpretation/translation requests to make sure accurate translated information is shared with communities. ICOACH works with families on a day to day basis and understands what it really means to be a refugee in crisis like Coronavirus. Thank you very much for your support!
