Iconique (The Web Series)

Iconique is a five-episode web series! This comedy-horror fusion tale follows a teenage girl who runs away from suburbia, beginning to experience what the world has to offer her, beyond her cul-de-sac for the very first time. Chasing her dreams of becoming the next it-girl influencer, she quickly learns not everything is as what it seems once the cameras cut - and the Tik-Tok live ends.

The series doesn’t shy away from its sassy and satirical messaging on our world's social media landscape and the absurdity that is the age of the influencer. We are very much in an era where you can become an overnight celebrity for hating the taste of kombucha or lip-syncing to a British girl repeating the words “M to the B” a hundred times. But most of the time, it seems people online just become famous for literally no reason at all. Watching countless of our world's new-age celebrities, who have all blown up for the right or wrong reasons, a "For You Page" has become a one-way ticket to instant stardom. Anyone can make their dreams come true with a click of a button, straight from their bedroom. Who wouldn't want in?
