Ida Leaves Houma Murke Trahan's Family Homeless

A life-long citizen of the Houma-diocese, Murke Trahan and his family including their two dogs, Lil Bit and Senna, lost everything during Hurricane Ida. Their home was decimated and they lost all of their possessions. Murke and his wife Claudia are members of St. Vincent de Paul and serve communion to the homebound among their various community service.

 

Despite their great need and status of homelessness, FEMA has denied their request for assistance. Their claim is currently being appealed, and they did have flood insurance. However, the insurance coverage is not enough for a rebuild. 

 

We have created this Go Fund Me in the hopes to raise funds to purchase temporary housing for Murke and Claudia, such as a trailer or an apartment. Please, please help

Murke Trahan is my Uncle on my mother side

I am setting the account to direct deposit to Murke's checking account. This will not have a 3rd party or mid-person handling funds. Funds directly be used to help Murke and Claudia to find proper short term housing for them and their dogs.
