That leader is 7th generation Virgin Islander Ida Smith, and she needs your help to make a difference!

As a dedicated daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and advocate for the people of the USVI, Ida Smith has always been committed to public service, focusing on empowering our community, protecting our environment, and ensuring that our unique challenges are heard in Congress. She also holds the distinction as a petitioner on the Writ of Mandamus to the U.S. Supreme Court to judicially enforce Treaty Series No. 629 (39 Stat. 1706)- Treaty between Denmark and the United States. Notable, the grandniece to Alexander Meyers of the case that set precedence in quiet title actions, Dudley v. Meyers, 422 F. 2d 1389 (1970).

Ida has established a proven record of being accountable, reliable, determined and of having integrity. She is presently the active nominee, by public petition, as the 2024 Independent candidate for Delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives for the Virgin Islands and meets the prerequisite qualifying conditions set forth within the U.S. Constitution for the Delegate position.
