Idaho Fire Relief Fund
Donation protected
Idaho is currently in a state of disaster. By latest updates, 42 homes have been destroyed near the town of Kamiah, along with 79 outbuildings. The town of Weippe was told to evacuate while being threatend by fires that have burned over 58,000 acres of land, while the standing total of all current fires is over 400,000 acres. The Red Cross has opened an evacuation shelter at an elementary school in the town of Kooskia, with another on standby. The Governor has declared a state of emergency, and active duty soldiers have been called out to assist the firefighters.
This fund is going to be used to provide relief and help to both the firefighters and those who have lost their homes, along with all of their personal belongings. This effort is being organized by the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at the University of Idaho. One of our active members, who is from Kamiah, is currently fighting these fires.
All donations will go to the Kamiah County Credit Union, and they will dispurse the funds to where they are most needed.
This is our home, these are our friends and loved ones, and we are asking for help. Every dollar makes a difference.
