Iestyn Lewis - Everest Skydive
Donation protected
Iestyn Lewis one of Bath Rugby's 1st XV members is doing a skydive with a Bath Rugby ball from 24,000ft facing Mount Everest. Perhaps the 'Fastest Bath Rugby Ball yet!'......
Iestyn is funding the trip personally and raising money for Bath Rugby Foundation.
Bath Rugby Foundation is a charity that believes all children deserve a fair start in life. They provide a range of programmes which help 3,000 vulnerable children and young people in and around Bath develop their physical, practical, and emotional skills.
A few facts about BRF.
-BRF work with 4,000 children and young people every year.
-95% of their learners achieve their academic targets and educational goals.
-20% of children and young people in Bath live in poverty - this is why they exist.
Iestyn leaves on 1st November, treks to Everest base camp and then has a three day window in which to make the jump!
"Jumping off an AS350 B3 helicopter from the height of 24,000 ft, just below Everest; and landing at the Himalayan dreamlands Syangboche (12,402 ft); is undeniably the most thrilling aerial adventure in the world. The adrenaline rush, the eye-feasting view of the picturesque Sherpa settlement, the back drop of world’s highest peak Mt. Everest, along with other equally petrifying sister peaks, and the whole alpine experience - what else would an adventurer seek/ dream in a lifetime." www.parabellumskydiving.com/everest-tandem-skydiving
His fundraising target is £29,031.69p (the height of Everest in feet!!)
Please help Iestyn reach this target for BRF!
