If the Ocean Could Talk Documentary Support

Tax deductible
Want to help make an ocean of difference? We're raising money to help breathe life back into a newborn right whale in our documentary, If The Ocean Could Talk: A Voice For the North Atlantic. This promises to be a heart-stopping cinematic journey narrated by Plastic Ocean Project founder Bonnie Monteleone with composer and accomplished double bass player Garth Stevenson as they journey parts of the North Atlantic Ocean. This video, called 356, made it into 8 film festivals, 3 international! It now serves as our trailer to "If the Ocean Could Talk - A Voice for the North Atlantic.

Stevenson bridges the power of music beyond human cultures, and Monteleone conducts interviews with people that work, play, study and make a living on the water as they seek to discover what happened to a newborn, critically endangered Right Whale, the first born of the 2020 season. Learn why we need to bring awareness to the demise of this species and how saving one species could benefit all species including the human race.

If the Ocean Could Talk invites viewers to join us on our pioneering travels as we connect with experts and innovators who explore ways in which the sea already speaks to us. On this journey, we will travel through the North Atlantic and share the ocean characteristics found off the coast of North Carolina, like the Gulf Stream and unique habitat while recording the many unique marine life sounds under the surface so all can hear the many voices of the sea.

In the film, we will meet professionals including world-renowned marine biologist and ocean explorer Dr. Sylvia Earle, marine ecologist and author Dr. Carl Safina, economist from the International Monetary Fund Dr. Ralph Chami, ocean advocate and CEO Wes Carter, Atlantic Packaging spearheading one the most progressive corporate responsibility philosophies, as well as oceanographers, political leaders, fisherman and "solutionaries" who all share in our belief that listening to the ocean's calling is important now more than ever.

Thank you for supporting this one-of-a-kind documentary that will highlight human impacts from plastic debris to noise pollution and how we can all play a role in protecting the ocean but only if we listen.

Plastic Ocean Project, Inc.is a 501c3 devoted to the removal of plastic marine debris, conducting research on the impacts caused by plastic pollution, and solutions creating jobs that promote doing what you love while making a difference. But above all, educating society through artist measures, like this documentary, to reduce single use plastics and other human impacts on the ocean.
