Hi dear people. My name is Paolina, and I'm fundraising money for helping "Chanters of Tricherousa" to come to our music festival IFOM2024 in Hamburg, Germany, from 27.-29. September 2024.
I am mother of two little babies, concert pianist, choir conductor, piano teacher and project leader.
After I moved to Hamburg, 3 years before, in uncertain times, full of fright and music silence, all of us were longing to experience more peace, connection and hope for the future.
In this situation, a beautiful idea was born and gathered interesting and talented people together as choir singers of very rare and old orthodox spiritual music in St.arch.Michael orthodox church in Hamburg. My part was to choose, conduct, train and prepare singers, but also to organize every part of the idea and make it happened.
Every little project that we made, in last 3 years, first as little online concerts, CD recording "Angel klicase" and after it, having an opportunity to pass in the finals and sing in Elbphilharmonie - Choir Festival in Hamburg 2023, (www.paolinabunderla.com) brought us to the point to cooperate with singers from other choirs, invite them and make the opportunity to present and promote some ancient but also some modern pieces of orthodox spiritual repertoire in a form of 3-days festival at the end of September this year.
Program of IFOM2024 is made of 6 choir concerts, 2 workshops of very old Byzantine chant protected by Unesco and traditional Icon painting, Interviews, Portrait of the visionaire, etc..
All that we did until now was charity programs with no or very low technical costs, supported by the church, but now we wanted to go further and offer to the audience the possibilities to meet the experts in a field of
Icon painting - Maria Tzamourani and
Byzantine chant - Igor Zirojevic with his Choir - Canters of Tricherousa, both from Athens, Greece.
Donations will be used to support the travel costs and stays in Hamburg for 8 people, (Tricherousa Singers from Athens) (at least 250e pro Person are travel costs, 2000€ / and place to stay for 10 people is 1200€.
Workshop teachers are already supported by the church St.Arch.Michael.
Donations are going directly to the bank account for donations of the St.arch.Michael orthodox Church, Schellingstraße 7-9, 22089 Hamburg, Germany.
