Let's build an orphanage in Haiti!
Thanks to your VERY generous donations, we've raised enough to purchase new desks and a partial roof for Grace Academy in Haiti! Now let's roof the WHOLE building and get the orphanage - Grace House built! It will be a haven for orphans living in Mirebalais, Haiti - especially deaf orphans who have been abused.
Thank you so much for your support!

MIREBALAIS, HAITI: At first glance of this mountainous, rural area about an hour north of Port au Prince, it would seem that there is no hope. People live in mud huts, there's generally no running water or electricity, and jobs are scarce. There is a huge need for educational opportunities. Schools, even public schools, cost money- and most parents can't afford to feed their children and send them to school.
But there is hope. Neighbors help neighbors, children have huge smiles on their faces, and there is a new, free school that started in the fall.
Grace Academy was started by Grace So Amazing Ministries out of Nashville, TN. What was originally started as a school for 50 children has grown to 180+ in the span of a few months. Children and adults see this school as the future of Haiti, a light of hope in the darkness that can provide opportunities and a brighter future in Mirebalais. But there are more students than desks, and we need to accomodate the growing school.
I've been to Haiti twice this year to volunteer with Grace So Amazing Ministries. My birthday is December 28th, and my birthday wish is for a new roof for the school offices and for more benches and desks for the school that is now bursting at the seams.
We need $2,500 for the materials and labor. The roof will cost around $1,200 and the benches and desks will be around $1,300. Local Haitians are employed with Grace Academy, and this construction will provide additional jobs for the local economy. Grace So Amazing Ministries is a 501(c)3 organization, and your donation is tax deductible. Each penny donated to this project will go directly for the roof and benches. Any money left over will go toward the December/January budget and paying teacher's salaries.
If you desire a receipt for tax purposes, please contact me.
Thank you so much for prayerfully considering donating and for your heart for Haiti! God bless.
