Life with Music
Dear Friends,
Since the pandemic has hit the world I have lost a lot of income and my tour to Europe is canceled. Please consider supporting the arts in this difficult time as we can't do for you what we do best - perform live with you in the room.
Below is the original version of the fundraiser with updates.
I have several upcoming and ongoing musical projects: recordings, concert tours [CANCELED], live streaming concerts, teaching videos, arrangements for cello, composition, and more. I hope with your support I can bring to life the following endeavors. All of them are not possible for me to achieve without your support. I hope we can work together on this!
1. Most recently, I have signed a contract with a label for a recording of Brahms Cello Sonatas. Getting on a label is wonderful but also costly and recording fees run in thousands! Please support the release of the double album with Brahms cello Sonatas played on the same model piano that Brahms used (below), and on a modern Steinway. With my wonderful friend Jiayan Sun at the piano, this is a fresh idea of combining historical performance with modern instruments and no one else has done it before! I hope you can make this project happen. We will be recording during the Summer of 2020.
2. This year I am also presenting a series of Live Streaming Concerts dedicated to the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven. You will be able to hear live broadcasts on Sundays at 1pm EST on 2/23, 4/12, and 5/17. We will perform all 5 Beethoven Cello Sonatas with another friend of mine: pianist Cihan Yücel. I will be sending links before each event for you to tune in!
Here is Cihan and I playing Rachmaninoff Sonata together:
3. [CANCELED]
In April of this year I am traveling to Oslo, Warsaw, and Vienna to perform with a Bulgarian/Norwegian pianist Kiril Kutin. The tour is self -funded as the tickets do not cover our travel fees (cello needs a ticket too!) so I need some help here too not to go under! You can see my concert schedule at www.gaydamovich.com
4. [STATUS UNKNOWN]
Upon return from Europe I will be busy playing all 5 Beethoven Sonatas at the Frederick Piano Collection with Cihan Yücel on Bösendorfer piano from 1830). All of this requires a lot of preparation and I need to cancel some of teaching hours just to practice! I hope to see you at the concert on May 24th in Ashburnham, MA.
5. I am planning to record solo cello works for solo cello and two or more cellos and some with electronics of wonderful living composers: Aziza Sadykova, Michal Talma-Sutt, and Christophe Sirodeau. The works are difficult and require ample time to record several simultaneous tracks. I hope to release an album with these works in 2021. I have already produced a CD with unpublished works by Lukas Foss with my father. You can hear it below!
6. I make arrangements and I am trying to come back to composing but of course life gets in the way. Your support might mean that I can add works to the cello repertoire! My popular arrangement of Piazzolla's Oblivion can be heard here:
7. As a teacher, I am hoping to create videos that are consistent with my innovative teaching approach that can help students all around the world fall in love with cello, understand music better, and know how to practice efficiently.
8. Last but not least, I'm trying to purchase a new, more sophisticated cello and I already have a buyer for my current one! To create more interesting recordings and concerts I definitely need to step up my instrument level and yet again, I am not able to do it without your support! The cello will be a combination of money from my current cello, bank loans, and your support.

I hope you can support me on my journey! I am not able to achieve all these things by means of self-funding.
To fulfill my gratitude I am happy to:
- play 60 min concert at a location of your choice for any donation greater than $1,000
- play 30 min concert at a location of your choice for donations between $500 and $1,000
- send a Brahms CD once it will be released to anyone who would donate more than $50
Thank you again for all your support! Let's make music happen together!
