Igor Safonov

Hi, my name is Sergei Ostapenko, I am a friend and a former business partner of Igor Safonov. This fundraiser is organized to benefit Igor's family after his tragic death on Friday, July 8, 2022.

Igor has been my friend and a true brother since 1992, when we both met at Calvary Chapel missionary church in Kyiv, Ukraine. Smart, wise, compassionate, and balanced, he always gave good perspective on things. We enjoyed long conversations about philosophy, history, meaning of life, applied math problems, and shared dreams about our future. We started a business together which we grew to be a 120-people operation; then Igor moved on to lead major engineering projects with a global digital agency Valtech. He ended up living in Paris and moving his family here a few years back.

He had a beautiful family of four, his other half Arevik, and their three amazing small children - Alisa, Elizabeth, and Eduard -- all of whom he gave his everything, every day.

On July 8, being just 46 years old, suffered a heart attack at work and, unfortunately, has passed away. His family and close friends are with him and his family now, helping mourning Arevik to settle.
