ihug Movement Campaign
Donation protected
The ihug movement is meant to give hope to people, like me, who want to live in a more positive environment. Who are tired of the negative political environment in our country setting the stage for all of our lives. We wish to balance the energy on the planet with the positivity of the simple human connection known as a HUG. We are building a community of people who are willing to hug their neighbor, friend, family, colleagues and community, even when they may fail to see eye-to-eye on the issues.
In the Strangest Secret, Earl Nightingale said “The things that are really important in life are free and we give them little value. We take them for granted. We place value on things we pay money for, yet they are cheap and can always be replaced, whereas those things that are most important are irreplaceable.”
The human connection is one of those things and a simple hug is representation of that connectedness.
Hugs boost our happiness level, it a scientific fact. Research shows a good hug is the fastest way for you to increase oxytocin flow in your body. Oxytocin is also known as the “love drug”. It calms your nerves and boosts positive emotion. The ihug movement’s mission is to combat negativity in our country during the 2020 presidential campaign and beyond. It is a non-partisan movement to remind people to love each other and it’s okay to agree to disagree on the topics.
We wish to take the movement all across the country in 2020 to spread the message and pass out free hugs. In order to make this happen, we need your help. Any amount will do. I believe in the power of community to make this happen. If this message resonates with you and you wish to support the movement, donate today.
If you wish to do more, email [email redacted] with ihug in the subject line and let us know how you wish to participate; provide a hug location in your city, accommodations for the hug crew, media coverage, and so much more can be done.
Join us in anyway you can. Let's come together as one community in the best country in the world by sharing a simple HUG!
Funds raised will be used for transportation, accommodations, and promotional expenses to travel across America from February - June and beyond. Mode of transportation to be determined based on quantity of funds raised.
