We are a nonprofit devoted to spreading peace and promoting development through a unique brain-body education program. IBREA Foundation has Consultative Status with the United Nations ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council) and a local branch in El Salvador. Our program has been implemented in different countries with positive effects on people's health, mental wellbeing, goal achievement, and the development and peace of the communities they belong to.
We have now embarked on an exciting plan to establish a Brain Education Institute for Peace and Earth Management in El Salvador! The Institute will offer a 2-year training program for young people and adults from across the country to get certified as Brain Education Trainers and Peace Leaders.
We believe this is a unique and valuable contribution towards creating a bright future in a country where violence is dominant, and we are asking for your help!
We need support to purchase the land, construct the Institute, and develop all the educational materials. Let's create the way together!
Thank you so much for your contribution!!!
*** The background ***
IBREA Foundation started its project in El Salvador back in 2011. With a mission to create health, mental wellbeing and peace in individuals and communities around the world through brain holistic (mind-body) training methods, IBREA initiated its program in El Salvador in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the goal to help reduce the high violence rates in schools.
The program started at that time in one of the most violent communities outside of San Salvador, where there is a high rate of gang activity. The kids who experienced it made huge changes with the program, and teachers and the Ministry of Education were amazed at the outcomes. School dropouts were reduced, gang activity was reduced, academic performance was increased, and the teachers who received the program themselves felt they received unique tools to manage their own stress, inter-act among teachers and with parents and students in more effective ways, and improve the overall impact of their education efforts.
The Ministry of Education then decided to expand the program to 4 more schools in 2012, and in 2013, the program went nationwide - providing IBREA's training to teachers and principals, doctors and psychologists in the 14 regions of the country - with similarly positive results.
Over the years, IBREA has gained the trust and recognition of the Salvadoran government and in 2018, the President of IBREA Foundation received a National Award for the work of "Creating Cultures of Peace in Schools in El Salvador".
Today, we are creating the Ilchi Institute for Peace and Earth Management with the mission to train future peace leaders in the country.
