Ileostomy Recovery Part Deux

Hello lovelies.

Harley (my stoma) has decided she no longer likes her current home. She angrily gave me 2 hernias, in 2 years, to show how unhappy she is. This is rare to have to move my stoma already, but alas here we are.

This is not the typical process for a first time ostomy. So, on Tuesday, April 23, I will have my third major surgery, in 2.5 years. We will take down my current ostomy, repair the hernia, then create a new ileostomy on the left side of my abdomen. Resulting in 3 surgeries at one time.

I will need to truly relax/recover for 4-6 weeks due to the 3 surgeries taking place. As a self-employed person, I do not have paid time off and am unable to provide therapy to my clients while recovering. My Dr will apply for short-term disability, but it was not approved the past two times.

Any amount, will help with rent, bills, & food. Without this, I will be at risk of losing my home and/or my car. Being a single self employed woman, as you can imagine it is very hard making it on your own.
