Ilinois Mens' Lacrosse Fundraiser

This is a fundraiser GoFundMe for the Illinois Mens' Lacrosse Club team. We are a student Non-Profit where we depend on member dues to pay for our various expenses. We have three trips that are all more than 7 hours away that are all in-conference games. Currently, we drive to a lot of games ourselves regardless of the distance. With the donations, it would help us afford buses for our long distance away trips. This would make these trips safer for us to make and more likely that we could get our whole team there. The donations would also help with paying for our equipment. Equipment in lacrosse is always adapting to try to find the safest way to play the sport. Similar to football, lacrosse helmets have been changed in the last couple of years to reduce concussion risk. The league we play in forced all players to buy new chest protectors to better protect themselves according to the new NOCSAE certification rule but adding a new helmet into that would be too much to ask. The donations would also help pay for our coach's expenses. He has a full-time job in a hospital nearby and comes straight to our practices from work. He travels with us everywhere and uses his hour long breaks at his full-time job to create game plans for the team. We receive very little financial support from the University and would appreciate any donations! Go Illini!
