I'm dedicating my ride across Iowa to my brother.

As some of you may know, I have committed to participate in the 50th anniversary of RAGBRAI, an annual 7 day bicycle ride across the great state of Iowa, totaling 500 miles. I have never done this ride, but being originally from Iowa, and my sister Tracy living in central Iowa, and turning 50 years old myself, I decided to sign up this year. That being said, there are a large group of riders that use this opportunity to raise money for various charities and organizations. While I hadn’t really considered doing that, I have recently changed my mind. My brother Toby has recently lost his long battle with prostate cancer. There are a few things that have been a great comfort to Toby, and that is his family, his friends, and the great staff at Harbor Hospice. Their staff has been unbelievably generous in their efforts, their time, and their compassion and have been very helpful in navigating us all through this difficult time. I have decided to dedicate this ride to my brother Toby and would like to raise money for Harbor Hospice. Please help me by donating to these wonderful people for the great solace they give patients and their families in these incredibly difficult times. Even if you don’t know Toby, but have dealt with the cruelty of cancer or have worked with a hospice agency, please donate and help other families in need. Please repost on your own page so that we can do something significant for this great group of people.
