Please help our mom & nephew rebuild their life
Donation protected
Unfortunately, my family and I are making this in a time of desperation and crisis. We are not normally ones to ask for help, but this has been a very difficult time and we are asking for all the love and support we can take.
On Saturday, February 24th, our mom, Christina, was involved in a fire at her home on Westside Drive. Her place went up in flames in the late morning, and it all happened so fast. Mom will do anything for her animals and loves them like her own children. She had three dogs and a cat inside (she was watching our brothers dog) and fought to bring them out one by one. She tried to go back inside to save her cat, Evan, but she was pulled away due to the smoke and for her safety. Unfortunately, her kitty did not make it out. The doggies were all brought out safely because she is a hero and went back in to save her babies. They are doing well, but they miss their mama.. as do we.
Our 10 year old nephew also lived there with her. Thankfully he was not there when this happened, but he endured the traumatic loss of their kitty Evan, along with his stuffies and clothes and everything that little boy has ever known.
Mom has spent some time in the hospital and she may be there for a bit. She is stable, but we are mainly keeping an eye on her lungs and airway.
We are asking for donations to try and help our mom and nephew rebuild their lives. We want to try and take away any burden possible and help alleviate all the stress that mom will be dealing with. Nothing was salvaged in the fire and they have lost all the things they have ever known. Our hearts break for the sentimental photos, memories, and items that can’t ever be recovered and for the loss of Evan. Nothing will bring back all they lost, but they are not replaceable and we are just so thankful they are okay. This is going to be a tough road of recovering for the both of them, especially mentally, emotionally, and financially. Any little bit helps, but even just a share will help so much.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and thank you to everyone for the outpouring of love and support.
