Skating Across New Zealand for Wildlife in Crisis

Tax deductible

All donations go to Wildlife In Crisis.

My name is Geoff, and I've been skating and loving the outdoors since I was a kid. In 2018 I traveled to New Zealand for a whole year and loved every moment, from the scenery, the locals, and the family I lived with. I've decided to make a dream of mine come true by Skateboarding from Auckland to Wellington, in 2 weeks time. The Skate will start on November 4th.

I chose to raise money for Wildlife in Crisis because I will be surrounded by beautiful wildlife for two whole weeks, and a nonprofit like WIC is what allows injured and orphaned wildlife to thrive again and get a second chance in the wild. They get over 5,000 animals brought in each year, their work is one-of-a-kind and truly comes from the hearts of all of those who volunteer. WIC is located in Weston, Connecticut, which is about one hour north of New York City, and is very local to where I live.

I'm looking forward to seeing how every penny raised can directly affect my local environment, and I will be able to give updates on how much the donations help through this gofundme page.

If you want to see me prepare for my two weeks of skating and go on a once in a lifetime adventure, follow me on either Instagram or Tik Tok and feel free to make yourself heard on the comments, I love reading them. Let's make this an experience for all who want to join! @Skate_Across_New_Zealand

I appreciate every donation which will go directly to WIC themselves, as this is just a page to document my travels and set goals. However, if you would like to go directly to them and donate, feel free to visit their page. Either way, they get every cent.

SPONSORS
I want to give an absolutely HUGE thank you to these companies because without their help, this would have been way more difficult.

More information about Wildlife in Crisis, Inc. (Wic): Wildlife in Crisis is a volunteer-run, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to wildlife preservation and land conservation. WIC was founded in 1988, and each year WIC volunteers answer over 15,000 calls regarding injured and orphaned local wildlife and care for over 5,000 debilitated wild animals. WIC’s wildlife care center, land trust and environmental education programs share the goal of protecting wildlife while improving the quality of life in our community. WIC relies entirely on donations to care for debilitated wildlife. As a volunteer run organization, we need help with fundraising, carpentry, public relations, grant writing and other professional services in addition to animal care.
