Ray's Emergency Medical Expenses

For more than a month now, I've been working while suffering from a massive retroperitoneal abscess.  I do not have medical insurance of any sort.  Last week I was finally able to seek medical attention--just in time, as it turns out.

The doctors kept asking me how I was able to function for as long as I did. I didn't have any answers for them.  You do what you have to do, I guess. 

I'm not going to be able to do anything for a while.   I still don't have insurance.  I'm not going to be able to work for a while.  I presently do not have an income of any sort.  I have medications I have to purchase and medical supplies, and none of them are free.  I have to buy food, and other sundries and I can barely even leave the house at the moment. I have been blessed with a few very, very good friends--my roommates are handling the expenses of bills and rent as best as they can--but I do not want to put any more burden on them than I absolutely have to. 

And so I need your help.

I've set the goal for $1000, but at this point, I'm grateful for literally anything you might have to give.
