Despite my battle with cancer, I am still fulfilling my duties as Senior Imam and Councilman. Earlier this month I travelled to Fair Haven, New York to launch an initiative with Carpenters Local 279 to recruit Black youth into the building and construction trades.

I have also continued to campaign vigorously for reelection for my Linden, New Jersey council seat. On November 7, 2023, I won reelection with 80% of the vote.

I am grateful for the support I have received over the past nine months. But my medical expenses are relentless. The cost of my outpatient treatment is $2000 per month and I expect that regimen to continue for the next 9-12 months.

I will also need to return to the Immunity Therapy Center in Tijuana for a 12-day cycle of treatment in the next 30-45 days.

Through your kindness and generosity, and the world-class care of my doctors, my PSA has been driven from 257 down to 1.5. However, the goal is to reduce my PSA to zero, so I can be cancer free. Your contributions and my fighting spirit can make that miracle a reality.
