Iman Runs a Marathon (with no training)
In December 2019, I was geniuenly proud and overcome with emotion when I travelled to Nepal to visit two schools that my education company, GrowYourAgency helped to fund, and visit future sites.
It was a culmination of my lifelong mission to reform the education system, the incredible generosity and hard-work of GrowYourAgency students and a rigorous vetting process of potential charitable partners.
In December 2020, the world's screwed, I can't visit my local supermarket without a mask, let alone fly to Nepal... and I'm about to turn 21.
So I thought I'd set myself a challenge: in the space of 14 days, I'm going to train, run and complete a marathon....
... and raise some money for this incredible charity and a very-worthy project they are currently working on.

My name's Iman Gadzhi. I'm a digital marketer and entrepreneur.
I founded my education company, GrowYourAgency.com in 2018 to reform the education system.
Most of the time, this means that we provide high-quality education at a low cost, and strive for a decentralisation of the education system.
Sometimes though, we're able to make donations to charitable partners, including the Pahar Trust. They're a fantastic charity which primarily operates in the mid-western foothills and the far-east of Nepal and builds schools, health centres and other community projects.
In 2019, we worked with the trust to fund two separate projects in Parbat District, and the Baglung Municipality, resulting in the construction of brand new schools and enabling more than 600 students to gain education in a modern, safe and nurturing environment.
In 2021, the trust will celebrate 30 years since their first school in Nepal, and are aiming to refurbish 30 Early Childhood Development classrooms.
By donating to this fundraiser, you'll be directly benefitting the lives of Nepalese children - not just at this crucial juncture in their life, but throughout as research shows that children who attend pre-primary education are more likely to stay in school, attain minimum reading and mathematics competencies.
Furthermore, pre-primary education supports economic growth, as it enables mothers and other caregivers the opportunity to work and increase their earnings.
Put simply: the effects of your donations will be felt for decades to come and help create a more prosperous future for everyone.
By running this marathon, I'm aiming to raise £10,000 which will be enough to fully-refurbish three Early Development Classrooms.

Now onto the fun bit...
I've never run a marathon before.
I've never run a half-marathon before.
With full transparency: I decided I was going to do this on the 29th November, and intend to start training on the 1st December, meaning I've got just less than two weeks to train with zero experience.
I'll be documenting my training over Instagram and YouTube, and we'll be filming and live-streaming on the day - so please sure you tune-in and watch me making a complete fool of myself.
