IMANA ServeYemen Medical Mission October 2022

My name is Iram Abbasi and I am a family physician in Kitchener. I have been blessed with an opportunity to go to Yemen with IMANA (Islamic Medical Association Of North America ) for an upcoming medical relief mission. Yemen has been a conflict zone since 2014; you and I both have an opportunity to be part of the change.

Countless families have been displaced, hundreds of thousands of people face malnutrition, and even more, have minimal or no access to health care. The funds we collect are used directly to buy medications and supplies for the clinics our organization is collaborating with.

IMANA sent its first medical team to Yemen in 2019. Thereafter, COVID put a halt to any travel in and out of the country. This effectively shut down crucial and much-needed relief. The effects of the pandemic have been, to say the least, devastating.

I encourage you to open your hearts and donate to our brothers and sisters in Yemen. Together we can help to establish primary care clinics to provide consistent care in between medical missions. IMANA Medical Relief is dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through disaster response, providing basic health care to underserved communities, and developing programs to transfer knowledge to affected communities.
