Homeless Shelter to Save Lives
Donation protected
Immanuel Shelter is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides refuge from the harsh Delaware winter weather to those experiencing homelessness in eastern Sussux County, DE.
Every person, regardless of life circumstance should be treated with respect and compassion, and at Immanuel Shelter, we hold these values as our top priority.
We offer warmth, shelter, meals, clean bedding, showers, friendly companionship and more to all who come to our door.
Immanuel must open our shelter doors on December 1 to ensure our homeless neighbors do not face life threatening exposure to dangerously cold winter nights.
We believe in complete financial transparency. Right now, we have almost $10,000, which will pay our start up costs including initial bedding, qualified staff, supplies such as soap and shampoo, kitchen staples, and some meals.
To offer services throughout the winter months through mid-April, approximately $8,000 per month is needed to cover all costs including untilities and replenishment of the items listed above.
All donations received go directly to sheltering and providing vital services to those experiencing homelessness in our area.
We believe that many of us are one serious illness or one loss of job away from needing help. If you will help us help others, you'll be saving lives.
We offer our heartfelt gratitude for any donation you can provide.
With Kindness,
The caring team at Immanuel Shelter
