Immediate Assistance for Household Fire

Hello, my name is Joshua Shiver a previous resident of Abingdon, Virginia. In the Early Morning hours of March 20th, 2024 my family whom resides in Abingdon, Virginia suffered a huge loss, the loss of there home to a home fire. I have a 15 year old sister, a 43 year old mother, a 67 year old grandmother, and a family dog whom was impacted directly by this home fire.

At this time, the fire is still under investigation. This fire started in the living room. Thankfully, my family was not in the home at the time this fire started.

Unfortunatly, I currently reside in Virginia Beach, Virginia and I am under a contract with my job (Corrections Officer ICCC VADOC) so I am limited to being able to transfer and or work at institutions that are located in the Eastern Region (Sussex, Greensville, Indian Creek etc.)
