Immediate need to give back to Anna Paisley
Donation protected
Hello everyone, I am Anna Paisley. Most people know me from my work as a custodian at Grayson County School where I was employed for 25 years and recently retired. On September 17, 2021, I underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor that had been discovered just a week earlier. In the days that followed, I was diagnosed with Glioblastoma which is a highly aggressive form of brain cancer. It’s hard to describe how one feels when they receive news of a terminal cancer. This is a life changing event. My focus has changed from the daily routine to how can I survive now.
Over the past month I have consulted with doctors and gathering information about options for treatment. There is no cure, however, with treatment I may be able to delay the aggressiveness of this cancer for some time. My family and friends have been very supportive in my efforts to move forward with treatments. My husband is currently on family medical leave from work to assist me. I am getting ready to start radiation treatments along with chemotherapy. Once these are complete I will need to monitor my condition with scans to determine what further treatment plans might be needed.
I want to thank everyone that has helped me so far with gifts of food, support and advice during this difficult time. Any financial support which will empower me to continue this fight would be greatly appreciated.
