Immediate Relief-Too Much Grief
Donation protected
Hello, My name is Mary. I am raising money for a friend in a time of need. She has been self-sufficient and proud so this is a request that she would never make for herself. Renee is a wonderful person who has always lent a hand to those in need. It's her turn to be helped.
After years of mostly single parenting, Renee reared a wonderful, respectful, kind son. They were very close. As he entered adulthood, she met and fell in love with a local gentleman well-known for his connection to the street car community. Renee shared his passion. He was indeed her soulmate and was welcoming and embracing of her son.
Tragically, her son, Trenton, was killed in a motorcycle accident on 6/25/22. She has suffered from deep grief and depression since. The man that she loved, and who has been her life partner, Shane McClelland, stepped up and cared for her during this past year. Renee suffers from post-traumatic shock and depression but Shane cared for her and supported her.
On 6/4/23, Shane was killed in a boating accident. Renee was injured and is recovering physically. Emotionally, it's overwhelming. Although Shane McClelland was a well-loved street car driver, his death created an immediate withdrawal of all of the resources that Renee supported in her recovery.
She is resourceful and strong, but she is suffering greatly. She has lost the two most important people in her life in less than a one-year span. She has to move from the home that she is in and pay the daily bills. She has no home to move to, she has no financial reserves, and the work that she did do was directly related to Shane's business. In addition to these challenges, she is still recovering from her own physical injuries from the boating accident. It looks bleak in her vision of her future.
Please help me to show Renee that she isn't alone and that there is good left in this world. If you require additional information to verify please google Shane's name. There will be pictures of the couple and many positive comments about him. He was obviously special and chose her because his heart told him that she was special too.
Renee wants her donors to know that Shane saved her life before his own ended. It's a very personal part of her story that she is willing to share. After the accident, he pulled her to the surface from beneath the water. She had hit the side of the boat and he thought that she was unconscious and would subsequently drown. She wasn’t unconscious but couldn’t feel or use her legs at first and needed assistance. They feared that she might be paralyzed at first. Once she was on the rescue boat, he reassured her, kissed her forehead, and told her that he loved her. He didn't express that he was hurt at all. Then he leaned his head back and left this life behind.
Renee told me that while Shane loved boating, and people would think that he left our world doing something that he loved. She is sure that he died saving someone that he loved.
