Immigration Legal Fees for the best kid ever

Hi, our names are Abbie and Liz and we've been together for over 6 years now. We met in Guatemala while teaching at the same bilingual school. Our students came from a local group home and are some of the most amazing kids and people we know. We have had the absolute pleasure of giving one of our former students a home here in the United States since May 2023. He is one of the kindest, warmest, thoughtful young men we have known. He is incredibly hard-working and motivated to better his life and the life of his family back in Guatemala.

We have already been so blessed by our friends and family who have donated furniture and clothes, and we are lucky to be able to provide a safe home and meet his basic needs. However, we are both teachers and make just enough to support all three of us financially. We are reaching out to our family, friends, community and anyone who would like to donate (no matter how small) to fundraise for legal expenses. We have found a great lawyer to help us navigate the immigration system and advocate for him to be allowed to stay in the United States so he can graduate from high school and find a good job. Any funds received in addition to the legal fees will be used for his medical care, education, and maybe even a tux for his first ever high school prom! We appreciate any and all donations, no matter the amount, to help us get this incredible kid long-term residency here in the US.
