Immortalize Afroduck Fund
Donation protected
Afroduck was such an important symbol to all Ohio State students. He deserves to be preserved for eternity.
The Tetrapod Collection at The Museum of Biological Diversity has collected Afroduck and would like to honor him by taxidermizing him. The collection currently has almost 20,000 preserved birds. We would be able to mount him on a beautiful pedestal and put him on display for everyone to see at the annual Open House on April 23rd, 2016.
The taxidermy process requires a professional and can be very expensive. Our current estimate is around $500.
If we can raise that much we will be able to properly honor Afroduck and have his body last for generations to come. If we exceed our goal we will be able to purchase a high quality display cabinet for him to be displayed in. These professional grade display cases can cost a few thousand dollars.
Please consider donating even just a few dollars to this cause. We would love for OSU's favorite duck and his afro to be preserved forever, in all its glory.
RIP Afroduck.
