Who Are We ? 

The International Muslim Organization of Toronto (IMO) is a non-profit, provincially registered organization, which was established in 1994. It is an integral part of the Toronto Muslim Community,  catering to the needs of thousands of Muslims in the area. IMO stands on approximately 50,000 sq ft of land. The center includes a banquet hall, unfinished gym, kitchen and a morgue. 



What Are We Doing? 

Finding spaces that can be utilized for the community is a struggle many Muslim communities in Toronto are facing. We are fortunate to have a large space that has great potential. 


We are fundraising to finish construction of the second floor of the Masjid. This project will serve the community by converting the upstairs into a multi-purpose space. This space will include: 

- recreational centre
- complete construction of the gym 
- create open-concept office spaces
- re-model community kitchen  
- provide community garden
- playground



Why We Need Your Support

The upstairs of IMO has been largely unused due to incomplete construction. As a community, this space is a valuable resource that we need to utilize. Our youth need a place of their own where they can access services, develop skills as well as come together to socialize and be together.


Unfortunately, there has been a rise in homelessness among at-risk youth in our community. Building this space will provide a safe haven for those that need it most. As a community, it is imperative to come together and support this initiative so we can meet the needs of those at risk. 


As our Messenger ﷺ said, “You see the believers as regards their being merciful among themselves and showing love among themselves and being kind, resembling one body, so that, if any part of the body is not well then the whole body shares the sleeplessness (insomnia) and fever with it. (Bukhari)


Invest in your masjid! Invest in creating a space for the next generation!
