The Friends Of Tim Parry Park
Donation protected
Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this page.
We are a group of volunteers who have come together to try to improve our Community Connections and Combat Social Isolation by opening a NONPROFIT refreshment shop in the annexe of our Community Centre.
We are called " The Friends of Tim Parry Park" as this is where our Refreshments Shop/ Community Centre is based, just next to Park Road School, Great Sankey, Warrington.
All monies we raise will be going straight back into our community and open space, for the benefit of everyone who uses our park to enjoy.
Ella, from Warrington Guardian gave us a couple of lovely write ups which you can read below. It covers our mission and goals that we hope to achieve.

On our Easter opening day there were so many lovely positive comments, suggestions, ideas bouncing round that we thought we've got to bottle this energy and go for it, hence this page.
We are aware people are finding it difficult to make ends meet so our aim is to bring the community together in a cheap and cheerful way by means of some good old-fashioned fun for everyone to enjoy.
We hope to put on games such as tug of war, rounders, play your cards right, chess/board games, creative play, water play and the list goes on.
On opening day there were a few repeated requests that kept popping up, so here are some of the suggestions/goals our community have asked us to fundraise for.
1) Outside seating/benches.
2) Outside cover as there is no shade.
3) Outside Sensory Area, also a quiet area.
4) Outside taps for gardening with community.
5) Outdoor plug sockets for Christmas tree, special events, lights etc.
6) Garden planters for colourful, fragrant plants.
7) Lean to and Storage for equipment.
8) Under 5's outdoor play equipment and storage for use in the community's enclosed, dog free garden.
So, you can imagine the cost of such requests and how daunting our project seems. However, we really believe that with the hard work we've already put in, the support from our community and hopefully with your kind generosity, we can MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
We hope you can help by donating whatever you can afford as we would be so very grateful. We will use any donations to work with Great Sankey Parish Council to develop initiatives like the suggestions above. Any installations or improvements will need to be subject to consultation and agreement with the Parish Council to ensure they are suitable for the recreation ground.
We hope you enjoyed reading our coverage by Warrington Guardian and hopefully you'll pop in to have a cuppa and see how we’re progressing.
THANKING YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR SUPPORT
